Hull to Sour Lake 69 kV:  Rebuild Line

Description:  This project rebuilds approximately 25 miles of the existing Hull to Sour Lake 69 kV line.

Cost:  Approximately $48 million.

Benefits: This project addresses future load growth and reliability needs in east Texas.

Montgomery County Interconnection Projects

Description:  This project in Entergy Texas is comprised of several projects to support the deliverability of the Montgomery County Power Station (MCPS). It involves construction of a new 230 kV transmission line from Lewis Creek to Porter substation. As part of the project, existing Lewis Creek to Goree to Rivtrin and Lewis Creek to Sheawill to Fort Worth Pipe 138 kV transmission lines will be rebuilt. Additionally, several transmission line breaker upgrades will be made at the Lewis Creek substation.

Status:  This project is expected to be in service by the summer of 2021.

Benefits: The purpose of this project is to upgrade the electric transmission system to allow the new Montgomery County Power Station (MCPS) generation to be deliverable to all customers served on Entergy Texas' transmission system.

Timberland 230 kV: New Substation

Description:  This project constructs a new distribution substation that cuts into the existing China to Heights 230 kV line. The new substation will be located east of Splendora, TX near the Grand Parkway.

Cost:  Approximately $62 million.

Status:  This project is expected to be in service by the summer of 2022.

Benefits: This project addresses future load growth and reliability issues east of Splendora, TX near the Grand Parkway.


Veteran 230 kV: New Substation

Description:  This project constructs a new distribution substation that cuts into the existing Rocky creek to Lewis Creek 230 kV line. The new substation will be located south of Huntsville, TX.

Cost:  Approximately $25 million.

Status:  This project is expected to be in service by the summer of 2023.

Benefits: This project addresses future load growth and reliability issues south of Huntsville, TX near I-45.


Colony 230 kV: New Substation

Description:  This project constructs a new distribution substation that cuts into the existing China to Heights 230 kV line. The new substation will be located in Dayton, TX.

Cost:  Approximately $28 million.

Status:  This project is expected to be in service by the summer of 2023.

Benefits: This project addresses future reliability issues in Dayton, TX and supports expected commercial load growth at the intersections of the new Grand Parkway with Hwy 90 and FM 1960.


Southline 138 kV: New Substation

Description: This project constructs a new distribution substation that cuts into the existing Cleveland to Jayhawker Creek 138 kV line. The new substation will be located West of Cleveland, TX.

Cost: Approximately $35 million.

Status: This project is expected to be in service by the Winter of 2023.

Benefits: This project addresses future load growth and reliability issues near Cleveland, TX.


Millbend 230 kV: New Substation

Description:  This project constructs a new distribution substation that cuts into the existing New Caney to Parkway or New Caney to Porter 138 kV line. The new substation will be located South of New Caney, TX.

Cost:  Approximately $92 million.

Status:  This project is expected to be in service by the summer of 2024.

Benefits: This project addresses future load growth and reliability issues South of New Caney, TX near I-69.


Castle 230 kV: New Substation

Description:  This project constructs a new distribution substation that cuts into the existing Grimes to Ponderosa 230 kV line. The new substation will be located South of Plantersville, TX.

Cost:  Approximately $62 million.

Status:  This project is expected to be in service by the summer of 2024.

Benefits: This project addresses future load growth and reliability issues south of Plantersville, TX near SH 249.


Southern Point 138 kV: New Substation

Description:  This project constructs a new distribution substation that cuts into the existing College Station to Navasota 138 kV line. The new substation will be located South of College Station, TX.

Cost:  Approximately $26 million.

Status:  This project is expected to be in service by the summer of 2024.

Benefits: This project addresses future load growth and reliability issues south of College Station, TX.


Texas 138 kV: New Substation

Description:  This project constructs a new distribution substation that cuts into the existing Lewis Creek to Goree 138 kV line. The new substation will be located South of Huntsville, TX.

Cost:  Approximately $60 million.

Status:  This project is expected to be in service by the winter of 2025.

Benefits: This project addresses future load growth and reliability issues south of Huntsville, TX along I-45.
