The Global Reporting Initiative is a nonprofit organization that promotes economic, environmental and social sustainability. GRI provides all companies and organizations with a comprehensive sustainability reporting framework that is widely used around the world. GRI's sustainability reporting framework enables all companies and organizations to measure and report their sustainability performance transparently and in a manner consistent with other companies.
This index reports indicators Entergy considers to be material to the company and its stakeholders, and to measure its sustainability. The data is from Entergy's two primary business units: Utilities and EWC. It is based on 100% operational control in all cases except for greenhouse gases which is reported on an equity basis. Additional data and information can be found in our online performance data table and our EEI ESG report.
Entergy's GRI index includes relevant references to publicly available resources; in some cases, Entergy addresses the GRI question directly in this index. The report has been prepared according to the GRI Standards, including the Electric Utility Sector Supplement. More information on how Entergy determines material issues can be found here. In addition, Entergy's integrated report includes information related to specific indicators.
